Madu River located in the South of Sri Lanka near Galle, is very rich in bio diversity passes through the wet zone of Sri Lanka opening up into a large Madu lagoon.

Bentota has always been renowned as the water sport capital of Sri Lanka with the hoteliers in the area actively promoting water sports from adrenaline filled speed boat and jet ski riding, wind surfing, boogie boarding, water skiing, kite surfing, to a leisurely ride on a banana boat for the family & kids.

Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project
Kosgoda is situated approximately 8km drive from Bentota and is home to a network based turtle hatchery and turtle watching venture set up by the Turtle Conservation Project (TCP) in correspondence with the Wildlife Department of Sri Lanka.
