Overview

Experience a private half-day tour to Yala National Park, where you may see leopards, bears, elephants, deer, crocodiles, and many more wild animals. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Yala was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, and, along with Wilpattu was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having been designated in 1938. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards. The leopards are more elusive and primarily nocturnal in other countries but are easier to spot in Sri Lanka than any other place in the world. This safari drive will allow you to have a truly memorable experience amidst the beauty of Yala. You will get the opportunity to explore the lesser-traveled paths of the National Park and have a higher probability of seeing a wide variety of species.
