Bentota River Safari is one of the popular outdoor activities throughout the local as well as foreigners. This boat ride will take approximate 1.5 hours and you will be able to explore large area of mangroves , rare animals such as crocodiles , water monitors as well as some inherent birds.

Community Tsunami Museum

A stark reminder of the Boxing Day Tsunami that hit the island in 2004, the Tsunami Museum is one of the few places in the southern coast that tells us the story of how the natural disaster affected the local communities in the island, along with the resilience of these societies. Galle Fort

This fortified city is one of the most famous of all tourist destinations in South East Asia. Right on the South-Western tip of the Island its harbor was the main hub for trade and commerce for thousands of years. It has great significance for its cultural, historical, and geographical value. The Portuguese were the first to build a fort to protect their naval fleet and their spice trade, with first the Dutch and then the British taking eventual control.
