Situated in the bustling Pettah district, one of the oldest parts of the city of Colombo, its tall minarets are seen from almost every street, towering over the hustle and bustle of the busy neighborhood streets.

Khan Clock Tower
Khan Clock Tower is a popular landmark which marks the entrance to Pettah Market at the border of Colombo Fort. The clock tower was built in the early 20th century by the family of Framjee Bhikhajee Khan who hailed from Bombay, India. This family owned many businesses in Sri Lanka including the famous Colombo Oil Mills. A water fountain was also in place at this location which does not function anymore.
